‘Anna Karenina’ No Match to ‘Juan dela Cruz,’ ‘Kakambal ni Eliana’ Wins National TV Ratings

‘It’s Showtime’ wins rating games, now launches “Kalokalike Face 2″!

ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” is now the most watched noontime show in the country as it zoomed to the top in May with an average national TV rating of 15.2%, compared to GMA’s “Eat Bulaga!” with only 12.9%, based on the latest data from Kantar Media.

The performance of “It’s Showtime” was boosted by its hit segment “Kalokalike,” which held its semi-finals for two weeks before its much-anticipated grand finals last Saturday (June 1).

The “Kalokalike” grand finals earned a notably high 26.8% national TV rating, while “Eat Bulaga” only managed 13.2%.

Fresh from its success, the Twitter-trending segment kicked off its new season called “Kalokalike Face 2” yesterday as it continues to search for the wackiest impersonators and look-alikes of local and international celebrities.

At the recently concluded 31st Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Awards on Saturday, Angel Locsin once again bagged the Best Actress Awards for her role in Star Cinema’s One More Try!

John Lloyd Cruz is best actor, Ronaldo Valdez is best supporting actor and Hilda Coronel best supporting actressfor the movie “The Mistress” .
