Evans wowed his Filipino fans during the red carpet premiere of the said movie by singing a few lines from the popular tagalog song “Kailangan Kita.” The British actor revealed that he learned the song from his Filipino friends whom he worked with in the musical “Miss Saigon” in London 10 years ago.

“I love Manila. I came to Manila 10 years ago because I was in a show. I used to sing for a living. I was Chris in ‘Miss Saigon’ and so a lot of the Asian characters were from the Philippines. I have a lot of good friends here and I haven’t seen them in 11 years,” he said.

Evans plays the role of Owen Shaw, the fierce villain in the 6th installment of the action franchise which is set to open in Philippine theaters on May 24, 2013.
